Pokemon of the Week!

Gengar

Reasons Why?

Gengar is a Ghost type Pokemon. In the anime Drake of the Orange Islands used a Gengar in his battle with Ash in Hello, Pummelo! and Enter The Dragonite. His Gengar managed to confuse Ash's Tauros before he returned it and instead tried with Ash's Lapras. In the collision between Night Shade and Ice Beam, both Lapras and Gengar fainted. In the game Gengar is a force to be reckoned with as it is able to learn a variety of moves and has many resistances. (Talk about the later on). Some of the moves Gengar is able to learn are Dark Pulse, Psychic and Explosion.

Dreamworld Ability!

Gengar only has one ability and that is ''levitate''. This is a gift for Gengar as it means it has resistance to all types of Ground type moves. Gengar already has resistance to Fighting and Normal type moves which makes it as I have said before a force to be reckons with. The only thing about Gengar that lets it down is that it's stats are horrendous which means it can only last one or two moves from a powerful opponent and also the fact that Haunter has to be traded for it to evolve into Gengar.

Most Powerful move

Most powerful move : Explosion
Power : 250
PP : 5
Accuracy : 100 percent

The opponent's defense stat is temporarily halved when calculating the damage. This gives Explosion an effective power of 500The user explodes to inflict damage on those around it. The user faints upon using this move. This move will finish Graveler whilst causing immense damage to the surrounding Pokemon. Therefore it is a suicidal move only to be used in times of need. However this move will also affect your own Pokemon in a double battle.
