Naruto Shippuden Episode 319 Summary

Naruto Shippuden episode 319

The soul that dwells within a puppet

This episode id mostly about Kankurō and Granny Chiyo. It isn't the most entertaining episode in my opinion. To be honest in my opinion it is a bit of a joke as we don't see Granny Chiyo use her secret puppet jutsu (Even though it is destroyed but Kabuto could have bought her back to repair the collection as she is an A rank puppet master with mad taijutsu skills) Chiyo is also able to use a reincarnation jutsu and as she can't die it could have been used to bring people back from the dead but Kishimoto won't do that.

Somewhere in the forest near the battlefield, the Fifth Division led by Mifune is confronted by Kimimaro and Chiyo, both reincarnated by Kabuto to face the Allied Shinobi Forces. Kimimaro quickly gets rid of several units of the Mifune's battalion, which Mifune gives orders to shy away from such an dangerous adversary. Chiyo enters the battle too using a samurai as a puppet, Kankurō arrives in time cutting the chakra threads controlling the samurai avoiding his death. Kankurō seems to be a child again for the fact that he doesn't use any  of his other puppets to destroy her.

Chiyo seeing the puppet that Kankurō brought with him, begins feeling guilty and thinking of her sins, recalling the past and the influence she had on Sasori's life choices. While looking back at Sasori's childhood memories, after his parents' death, Chiyo kept a link with him through Komushi, Sasori's best and only friend that later died and become Sasori's first human, a puppet made due to the request of Komushi's mother. Kankurō states that Sasori entrusted him of Mother and Father puppets, for future generations.

Overall this episode was alright but I thought it would be better and more entertaining. However this is probably Kishimoto's plan to make the current Kage's fight with Madara even more epic. I hope you enjoy. Bye
