Naruto Shippuden episode 317

A hole in the heart

The eight tails notifies B who had stopped for yet another bathroom break that Naruto was far ahead them, to the beast's exasperation Motoi catches up to B and informed them that he had been sent to assist them. As they proceed towards the battlefield, a small faction of the White Zetsu Army nearby plotted an ambush on the duo. Kabuto who had also located B decided to use one of his special reserve weapons  to capture Killer B. 

As the coffin emerges from underground — comically uncovering the White Zetsu in the process — the contents of the coffin is revealed to be Fukai, the previous jinchūriki of the Eight-Tails. As Killer B and Fukai talk, Fukai advises them that he was not in control of his body and that they needed to escape but B notes that without The eight tails  he did not pose as much a threat as he would have. Fukai, however, enters Version 2, shocking B and Motoi. It is then revealed that it was Orochimaru's experiments and actions which brought about Fukai's death and The eight tail's rampage some thirty years prior. 

As the two men fight in their respective Version 2 states, it is revealed that Orochimaru had infiltrated Kumogakure, drugged Fukai, and extracted The eight tails who launched into a mindless rampage in order to collect some of the beast's cells (So Orochimaru, he could have targeted another Jinchuriki from an easier land). Ultimately, with some help from Motoi, Killer B is able to convey his feelings to Fukai who is glad to know that B had found something to fill the void left by being a jinchūriki. Kabuto is then shocked as Fukai's body starts to disintegrate  With this, B rushed towards the battlefield noting that his war had just begun. 

My opinions on this weeks Naruto Shippuden Anime is that it was a good filler episode as now we know how The eight tails went on rampage it was a bit weird when The eight tails said it couldn't remember much about the encounter but they cleared that. I also realized Orochimaru is so sly and he is worthy of the praise he receives. I also liked the part in which Fukai describes how to control the eight tails as with the eight tails you have to have a fond memory to fill the hole in your heart whereas to control the nine tails you need love. So it seems there are different methods to control different tailed beast. Gaara must have had a way as he had full control of the one tails.
