Dynasty Warriors 8 - Wei Characters

The legendary Warriors return with new characters, new stories and new game-play in Dynasty Warriors 8 for Xbox 360.

Dynasty warriors 8 will be based on the kingdoms of Wei, Wu and Shu and the rise of Jin.

Story mode - Featuring new episodes and characters, Story mode takes a deeper look at the drama as it unfolds in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

New Scenarios - DW8 features all-new ‘What if?’ scenarios. Breaking away from historical fact, this mode takes a look at what could have happened if famous characters had lived to fight another day. Allowing the story to branch out into different directions, giving players the power to play an alternative history based on their choices.

New and returning characters - DW8 offers over 70 playable characters, with returning fan-favorites and new members to the series – including the highly anticipated officers Yue Jin and Li Dian from the Wei Kingdom.

A New Landscape - Taking further inspiration from the landscape of ancient China, Omega Force gives a stronger emphasis to the setting of these epic battles. 40 new stages have been created, with verdant plains, sharp ravines, desolate wastelands and towering castles just the start of the breathtaking settings!

 Co-op play - DW8 will offer co-op play both offline and online!

Wei Characters

Cai Wenji - She was first a prisoner until Cao Cao a mighty warlord freed her from imprisonment by paying a huge ransom price. She is forever in his debt.

Cao Cao - Known as the ''The Hero of Chaos'' and the prime minister of Wei. He had written many books on strategy. Cao Cao prepares his son Cao Pi to take his place when he dies.

Cao Pi - The son of Cao Cao and the first emperor of Wei. He was very intelligent and studied in the literary arts from an early age. He was also known for his many concubines.

Cao Ren - Known as the strongest shield and the cousin of Cao Cao. He was one of Cao Cao first officers. He was put in charge of the defense of Fan Castle.

Dian Wei - The bodyguard of Cao Cao he gave up his life so his lord could escape the grasps of his enemies. He once fought with Xu Zhu and defeated him.

Guo Jia - The strategist of Cao Cao he was known to think on his feet. He died at a very young age. When Cao Cao was defeated at Chi Bi he was reported to have said ''only if Guo Jia was here''

Jia Xu - Another one of Cao Cao's strategists he was known throughout the land for his well thought out strategies. Jai Xu was against the Cao family taking the throne.

(*) Li Dian - A lover of learning, he had a very cool and careful personality. Together with Zhang Liao and Yue Jin, he served in the defense of He Fei. He also had many proposals in the court.

Pang De - A mighty warrior from Jiang Dong he was once a friend of Ma Chao until he joined Cao Cao. Pang De was known to be gentlemen above all else.

Wang Yi - She is the only women in the history off China to ever actually fight in a battle. She fought with her husband against Ma Chao.

Xiahou Dun - Cao Cao right hand man. It is said he lost his eye in a battle with Lu Bu and he took it out and ate it. He was the one to defeat Guan Yu at Fan Castle.

Xiahou Yuan - Known for his impressive bow skills he also was one of Cao Cao's first officers. He was killed on MT Ding Jun by Huang Zhong. The reason of his downfall was due to his lack of respect for the elderly.

Xu Huang - He was one of Cao Cao's most strongest warriors  He wants to live a life according to the path of a warrior. He has been said by Cao Cao to be a match for Sun Tzu.

Xu Zhu - A giant off a man he is Cao Cao's personal bodyguard. He has been described as a ferocious tiger on the battle field. And a kind soul in the times of peace.

(*) Yue Jin - He was known for his valor and ferocity on the battlefield. And also for being short in stature. He was one of Cao Cao most precious warriors.

Zhang He - Zhang He was one of the five generals of Wei Known for his beauty. He was also acknowledged by Zhuge Liang for his strength on the battlefield and the threat he posed for Shu.

Zhang Liao - He was first one of Lu Bu's friends however after Lu Bu's death he was offered a place in Cao Cao ranks. He was known for his might.

Zhenji - The wife of Cao Pi. Known for her sharp wit and killer instincts. She was once the wife of Yuan Xi until the demise of the Yuan family.
