Ariados

Reasons why?

Ariados is a Bug/Poison type Pokemon. In the anime it seems these Pokemon travel in groups as Dawn and Piplup are attacked by a bunch of Ariados. To be honest they are really strong when they are in groups however we haven't seen the extent of their strength or prowess due to them being in a group. In the game however they are able to learn a vast number of moves such as Electroweb, X Scissors and Night Slash. 

Dreamworld ability!

Ability : ''Sniper'' This powers up moves if they become critical hits. This is very useful as it may change the tide of the battle in your favor. However the chances of a critical hit actually occurring is small therefore Ariados' other abilities ''Swarm'' or ''Insomnia'' would be a more intelligent choice. Swarm powers up bug type moves whereas Insomnia prevents Ariados from falling asleep. Both very useful abilities.

Most Powerful move

Most powerful move : Solar Beam
Power : 120
PP : 5
Accuracy : 100 percent

The user of SolarBeam will absorb light on the first turn. On the second turn, SolarBeam deals damage.risky. However this risk can be overturned as Ariados is able to use Sunny Day. But the downfall of having this move in your moveset is that the space could be used for something else. This tactic would be really goo in a double battle as on Pokemon could use Sunny Day whilst the other uses Solar Beam. This brings me to the conclusion that this is a good move for Ariados as a whole.
