Pokemon of the day...

Blissey

Blissey

Reasons Why?

Blissey is a Normal type Pokemon. In the anime Ash and his friends had met up with Blissey in the Pokémon Center. Seeing that they were hungry, she prepared food for them but due to her over-enthusiasm, she spilled the food on them. A well-meaning yet clumsy Pokémon, the more Blissey tried to help, the more problems she caused. When Team Rocket tried to steal food from the center, Jessie met Blissey and they immediately recognized each other. Jessie then explains to James and Meowth that she had studied with Blissey—then a Chansey — in a Pokémon Nurse School together, where they had become best friends. Jessie, unfortunately, did not qualify to become a nurse and quit the school, due to the fact that she is not a Pokémon, so she cannot learn the move Sing. Chansey had given part of the medal she had received as a nurse to Jessie so that they could remember each other. Blissey then gave Team Rocket most of the food in the pantry. The others in the Pokémon Center soon found out and everyone blamed Blissey. Wanting to help her friend, Jessie pretended that she had tricked Blissey into giving them the food. She also faked attacking her to make Nurse Joy and the others believe her. They were soon thrown out, but not before Jessie whispers to her friend Blissey to keep it a secret. Blissey has also appeared in Jessie's flashback in One Big Happiny Family!. In the game Blissey is a strong Pokemon with a very high HP stat. Blissey is also able to learn a large variety of moves which makes it a formidable opponent. Some of the moves Blissey is able to use are Thunder Punch, Fire Punch and Ice Punch.

Dreamworld Ability!

Blissey's dreamworld ability is ''Natural Cure'' This means that All status problems heal when it switches out. This is very useful ability as Blissey is able to heal itself without the use of items which can be very useful as it can like always change the tide of a battle. Blissey's second ability is ''Serene Grace''. This means that ''Serene Grace'' doubles the chance of moves' secondary effects occurring - specifically stat changes, status ailments, or flinching. ''Serene Grace'' does not affect a user's critical hit ratio, nor the move Secret Power. It does not increase chances of effects from held items, but those effects may still occur. For example Shadow Ball normally has a 20% chance of lowering Special Defense; with ''Serene Grace'' it is boosted to a 40% chance. Air Slash has a 30% of causing the target to flinch; with Serene Grace it is boosted to a 60% chance. If the item King's Rock is held, as above it does not increase that percentage, but rather if the effect does not occur naturally (40% chance), then there is a further 10% chance the target will flinch from King's Rock. This means ''Serene Grace'' with Air Slash and King's Rock gives a total probability of 64% that the opponent will flinch. Blissey's third and final ability is ''Healer''. This means that Blissey may heal an ally's status conditions. This can also change the tide of a battle as it is quite expensive to buy status changing items.

Most Powerful move

Most powerful move : Blizzard
Power : 120
PP : 5
Accuracy : 70 percent

Blizzard deals damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target. It will hit both opponents in a double battle or adjacent opponents in a triple battle. Pokemon with the ability Magma Armor cannot be frozen. During a hailstorm, Blizzard has 100% accuracy. The description of the move Blizzard in Pokemon black and white is that it is A howling blizzard is summoned to strike the opposing team. It may also freeze them solid. In Diamond/Pearl only, Blizzard had a 25% chance of hitting through Protect or Detect during hail. In Generation 1, Blizzard has 90% accuracy. In the original Japanese Red/Green, it had a 30% chance to freeze the opponent. Now Blizzard is a very strong move however it isn't very accurate and the chances off freezing another Pokemon is very slim however the accuracy can be improved by carrying around the move Hail. But many people wouldn't do so as it would be a waste off space in the team so I would suggest they carry around the Pokemon Abomasnow who has the ability ''Snow Warning'' which causes Hail. Overall I think the move Ice Beam would be a better choice as it has more PP and is as powerful and also has the potential off freezing Pokemon. Overall I would use the move Ice Beam instead as it is as strong and also has the chance of freezing your opponents Pokemon. And it also has more PP therefore making it more reliable.
