Noctowl
Reasons Why?
Noctowl is a Normal type Pokemon. In the anime Noctowl first appeared in Fowl Play!. A man was trying to capture the smaller, Shiny Noctowl by using traps, but kept failing due to the Owl Pokémon's intelligence. After Team Rocket was sent flying, the Noctowl allowed Ash to have the chance to capture it. After an intense battle, Ash succeeded. Ash's Noctowl is a Shiny Pokémon that Ash encountered on the way to Goldenrod City during his travels through Johto in Fowl Play!. Not only does it have a unique color, but it is also unusually small and intelligent. Noctowl was the Pokémon Ash based his Ecruteak Gym campaign around in the following episode. It successfully used Foresight on Gastly, but had to be recalled because it couldn't land any other attacks. It was then sent out against Haunter, struggling to overcome the Ghost type but managed to win through learning Confusion. It was then left to battle Morty's fresh Gengar, and looked vulnerable as Gengar was able to attack whilst invisible. However, Noctowl was able to reveal Gengar's location by using Confusion through the whole building and then using Foresight to keep Gengar visible. It then finished Gengar off with a Tackle attack and Ash got the Fog Badge. Ash briefly transferred Noctowl to Professor Oak in Ring Masters so that Oak could study its unique coloring whilst Ash borrowed his Snorlax. In Throwing in the Noctowl, Ash sent out Noctowl and used its ability to fly in order to carry a plane headed for Olivine City. In the game Noctowl is a very strong Pokemon who is able to use a large variety of moves. This makes it a very strong opponent and an even stronger ally. Some of the moves Noctowl is able to use are Heat Wave, Hyper Voice and Extrasensory
Dreamworld Ability!
Noctowl's dreamworld ability is ''Tinted Lens''. This ability Powers up “not very effective” moves. This could potentially be very useful as one of your Pokemon may have moves which would't damage a Pokemon of a different type however this could change the tide of the battle as your moves would have more of an impact. Noctowl's second ability is ''Keen Eye'' (Most flying bird type Pokemon have this ability). Keen Eye prevents the Pokemon from losing accuracy, for example from moves like Sand Attack. If a Pokemon with Keen Eye is leading the party Pokemon, wild Pokemon are 50% less likely to be lower level. This abilities outside affect is the total opposite of another ability which I can;t seem to remember. So never mind. But this is a good ability as it mean your Pokemon's accuracy doesn't decrease at all. Another aspect of this ability that is great is that if you have lower leveled Pokemon the Pokemon you find in the wild would be week. Noctowl's third and final ability is ''Insomnia''. Insomnia prevents the ability-bearer from falling asleep, both from moves by other Pokemon like Sing, and self-inflicted sleep like Rest. If a sleeping Pokemon acquires Insomnia (e.g. from Worry Seed, it will wake up on its next turn. This is also a good ability as it will make sure your Pokemon will not fall asleep. Falling asleep is one of the worst things a Pokemon could do as it is wide open to attack and the Pokemon will not wake if it is called back into it's Pokeball. The bad thing about this ability is that Noctowl will not be able to use the move Rest which replenishes the users strength. If a Noctowl is used to grind an opponent down slowly this would be a crucial move for it to know.
Most Powerful move
Most powerful move : Sky Attack
Power : 140
PP : 5
Accuracy : 90 percent
The user of Sky Attack will
become cloaked in a harsh lighton the first turn. On the second turn,Sky Attack deals damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch (if the target has not yet moved). Pokemon with the ability Inner Focus or those behind a Substitute cannot be made to flinch. If the user is holding a Power Herb, Sky Attack executes in one turn. This is a very powerful move and to be honest the most powerful Flying type move in the game. Like I have always said when it comes to a powerful move like this their is always a bad thing about them. The bad thing about this move is that the move is only 90 percent accurate however this is fine compared to moves of this caliber. The second thing that lets this move down is the PP which is also the same for moves in this category so it's OK. Likewise you could use a PP up and this would resolve the matter but PP ups cannot be bought at a Pokemart and they can only be found on your travels therefore they are very rare. The biggest flaw of this move is the fact that you have to wait a turn. Your opponent could just change his Pokemon whilst the move charges with a Pokemon who wouldn't be affected by the move. Overall I would teach my Noctowl the move Ariel Ace instead it may not be as powerful but it has 100 percent accuracy and High PP and as an added bonus it ignores changes to the Accuracy and Evasion stats. (As if Noctowl needs it)
