Walrein

Reasons Why?

Walrein is an Water/Ice type Pokemon. In the anime a Walrein appeared in Training Wrecks, under the ownership of Rocky. Walrein battled Ash's Pikachu and Grovyle, alongside a Quagsire. Before Grovyle could attack Quagsire with its Leaf Blade Walrein attacked Grovyle with its Ice Ball. Pikachu defeated Walrein in the end while Grovyle took care of Quagsire. Walrein was Katie's final Pokémon while battling Ash in A Judgment Brawl. The Ice Break Pokémon defeated Ash's Swellow, and Corphish (the latter was already tired out from battling Katie's Golduck), and was defeated by Ash's Grovyle. Walrein made its debut under the ownership of Team Aqua in Fight for the Meteorite!. They also appeared later in The Scuffle of Legends. A large group of Spheal, Sealeo and Walrein are seen at the beginning of Destiny Deoxys. Multiple Walrein made brief cameo appearances in Giratina and the Sky Warrior. In the game Walrein is a very strong Pokemon with high HP stats, and is able to learn  variety of moves. Some of the moves Walrein is able to learn are Ice Beam, Body Slam and Surf.

Dreamworld Ability!

Walrein's dreamworld ability is ''Oblivious''. Oblivious makes the Pokemon immune to gender-based moves and abilities, specifically Attract, Captivate and Cute Charm. One thing I have to say is that I didn't expect a Pokemon as strong as Walrein to have this ability and with Walrein being a Water/Ice type Pokemon it doesn't really make sense as it isn't a Normal type Pokemon. But this is a good ability as Atract is a very difficult move to handle. I can remember playing Pokemon Black and how the higher leveled Audino would use Atract against my Pokemon. Walreigns second ability is ''Thick Fat''. ''Thick Fat reduces the damage taken from Fire -type and Ice - type moves by 50%. Interestingly, many Pokemon possessing this ability already take reduced damage from those types. A Dewgong or Walrein with Thick Fat would take 1/8 normal damage when hit by an Ice-type move. This is an amazing ability a gift from the heavens. Joke. No really this would make sure that Warein wouldn't be affected by Fire and Ice type moves. Walrein's third and final ability is ''Ice Body''. A Pokemon with the ability ''Ice Body'' will recover 1/16 of its maximum HP during hail, after each turn. It also grants immunity to the hailstorm damage, if not already immune. This ability can change the whole tide of a battle however it is unlikely for  Trainer to carry on a Pokemon with the move hail so this ability would be useless. However this can be ''overun'' if you have the Pokemon Snowrunt which can make it's own hail.

Accuracy : 70 percent

Blizzard deals damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target. It will hit both opponents in a double battle or adjacent opponents in a triple battle. Pokemon with the ability Magma Armor cannot be frozen. During a hailstorm, Blizzard has 100% accuracy. The description of the move Blizzard in Pokemon black and white is that it is A howling blizzard is summoned to strike the opposing team. It may also freeze them solid. In Diamond/Pearl only, Blizzard had a 25% chance of hitting through Protect or Detect during hail. In Generation 1, Blizzard has 90% accuracy. In the original Japanese Red/Green, it had a 30% chance to freeze the opponent. Now Blizzard is a very strong move however it isn't very accurate and the chances off freezing another Pokemon is very slim however the accuracy can be improved by carrying around the move Hail. But many people wouldn't do so as it would be a waste off space in the team so I would suggest they carry around the Pokemon Abomasnow who has the ability ''Snow Warning'' which causes Hail. Overall I think the move Ice Beam would be a better choice as it has more PP and is as powerful and also has the potential off freezing Pokemon. Overall I would use the move Ice Beam instead as it is as strong and also has the chance of freezing your opponenets Pokemon. And it also has more PP therefore making it more reliable.
