I love Simpson, his character and his weird quirks which include murder. I loved him with Trish. I know he's moved on but I still think they would have been great together. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be.

Today's episode was boring, however that being said it is the first episode and a Marvel series therefore I expect it to get better over time. Malcolm's investigation uncovers that Industrial Garments and Handling building was leased out to Dr. Kozlov, but when Jessica visits his house, she finds a funeral being held for the good doctor, who was recently killed in a freak car accident. Detectives Eddy Costa and Ruth Sunday from the 15th Precinct investigate Whizzer's murder, which leads them to Jessica's doorstep. When Jessica looks for Oscar, the new super, to corroborate her story, he lies instead. Jessica breaks into Whizzer's apartment and finds a video tape he sent to Trish's show, asking for help. Trish goes to Max Tatum, a shady director who sexually abused her when she was 15, to get additional information about IGH, taking Malcolm with her to secretly tape their conversation for blackmail. Jeri Hogarth, having found out that she has ALS, engages in a night of cocaine and prostitutes. Jessica tracks Trish down, only to find Simpson also following Trish, but he claims he only wants to protect her from another "monster," a more dangerous powered person. Before he can explain, the "monster" attacks and promptly kills Simpson by twisting his neck, and makes a quick escape.
